Full Suspension mountain bikes are every kids dream and a reality for most adults who mountain bike recreationally or more. As we know the benefits of suspension for riding, we usually neglect the maintenance our suspension needs, especially the frames linkage. The linkage is the system that allows your rear wheel to move up and down smoothing out the bumps and giving your more comfort and traction. The linkage consists of several bearings and or bushings, referred to as pivots.
Why You Need It:
Your bicycle may be operating flawlessly but that doesn’t mean that you don’t need service. The linkage on your bicycle takes more abuse than any other part on your bicycle and requires regular service. Without routine service on your linkage, the bearings and bushing will bind and put more stress on the rear shock and the frame. When this happens you will find that your bike isn’t quite as smooth as it once was.
When You Need It:
We recommend getting this service done once a year for aggressive riders and every 2 years for recreational riders.
The Service Includes the Following:
- Linkage Service is Only Available as an Add-On and NOT as an A-La-Carte Service
- Remove Wheels from the Bicycle
- Remove Drivetrain from the Bicycle
- Remove all Linkage Bearings and Bushings
- Service or Replace all Bearings and Bushings (parts not included)
- Replace Worn Hardware While Re-Assembling (parts not included)
- Check for Full Linkage Movement and Smoothness
