is Central Wheel Bike Shop. Central Wheel was trued in January of 2006. Jeff Gelt bought the shop after a decade of Corporate America work. After a 4 years of ownership a solid team of full and part time employees have been established. Full timers Doug Vail (aka 'Bones'), as Service Manager, Lee Perkins as Sales Manager, Dave Theriault as Mechanic and Brenden DaChuna as Mechanic work with me offering expertise and ideas to make our Bike Shop your Bike Shop. We are dedicated to helping cyclists find the right bicycle and accessories. Our ability to deliver effective advise comes from decades of experience. We integrate the latest fitting methods, for efficiency and comfort. Our experienced mechanics are skilled at diagnosing and correctly fixing bicycle issues.

We do work with fundraiser rides and amateur cycling races that benefit our community. We have partnered with local High Schools providing them with a bikes that you, our customers, have donated. We also provided race and ride support for these students.

The Road Bicycle

With the largest range of bicycles, from recreational riders to elite racers, Central Wheel would like to work with you. Our employee's cycling interests are as widely diversified as our Road Bikes.

The Mountain Bike

Central Wheel is located next to the West Hartford Reservoir on Route 4. Stop by for the convenience of filling a water bottle or packing that spare tube.

The Tri-Bike

Central Wheel has expanded products for the Triathlete. We have also Started a small Triathlon Team, look for the Blue Jerseys at your local events and nationals.

The Hybrid Bicycle

Find the natural beauty and tranquility of the Farmington River Valley along the gently rolling bike paths and rail trails.
